The Mt Wallace Model Aircraft Association Club proudly hosted its first VMAA Festival of Flight, celebrating the experience and excitement of model aviation. The event drew pilots from various clubs, predominantly from clubs situated West of Melbourne. We were fortunate to be able to showcase a wide range of aircraft—from vintage biplanes to jets with large IMAC aircraft to thrill the crowd. Fantastic to see such a range of models and flown by passionate hobbyists.
Pilots started to arrive on Friday, 17 Oct, as gates opened at 12:00 pm. The new camping site was used with a total of 6 campers on site (it is a start). There were over 50 attendees, including club members pilots, families, and visitors. 19 registered pilots participated with 30+ model aircraft on display and many took flight in perfect conditions
