The Mount Wallace State Field is progressing. There have been a number of delays due to weather and contract work that required addressing. We are now ready to delivery crushed rock to prepare the drive way and carp parks so they can be used. This will provide a area so we do not damage the field and a place we can safely park. With this in motion, we should see the field opened with the next two weeks. We are also completing the electrical work soon with the main cable being laid shortly. This will provide power to the bore pump and prepare the site to add additional items such as our container from Parwan. The container is our makeshift kitchen and will be in use for a while.
The Committee has been very active in the background coordination and preparing additional work so the field can be fully opened to all MAAA Members. This includes negotiating and communicating with the VMAA who have support us in this venture as the host Club. No doubt we have plenty of work ahead of us, but we will get there if we keep focused and work together as a Club. Stay tuned for further updates in our Club newsletter.
