F1 Sandown Festival Jan 2015

The F1 Air Race Sandown was organised by Stephen Green, the editor of RCMN magazine and backed by a number of organisations including the MAAA.  Advertising started last year and was progressively gaining momentum over the past few months. KMRC Jets aka Ken Mollison, was also invited to attend.

Michael Whelan, Garry Thiele and myself went along to assist KMRC Jets to set up and show the many visitors what was on offer. Tyson Dodd from QLD came down to assist with flying on the day using Ken’s Xcalibur and KingTech turbine power. So early

    Sunday morning we set off to Sandown not knowing what the day would bring or how successful the event would be. The day was a great success and by all accounts will be conducted again in 2016. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon..
