A few of the martins ventured up to Ararat on the above dates for the first Mosskosh Fun-fly. The event is the annual ADAC fun-fly, but since the passing of Moss Head (previous President), the Club renamed the event in his honor. Ken Mollison and Michael Whelan arrived on the Friday to have a look at the field and drop off their trailers, while enjoying the warm weather. I arrived later at the motel only to find the crew relaxing having a quite drink. A pleasant evening was spent as we all looked forward to the activities at the field. Saturday morning arrived and so did the the cold weather. Amazing as it went from a hot eventing to a cold and windy morning. But nothing ventured nothing gained, we headed off to the field. On arriving at the field there were a number of people already there with their trailers and caravans. ADAC has camping facilities and as per normal, everyone was made welcomed. The Club continued with their preparations in regards to lunch while the pilots were left deciding whether to take out their models. The weather seemed to follow a pattern of 10 minutes of blue skies followed by 10 minutes of cold wind, rain with the occasional hale storm. Did the show go on, yep it certainly did as Wayne from Addie's Hobbies set up his mobile shop and joined in. At the end of Sunday the raffle was drawn and all pilots received something for taking part. A quick fire auction was held as well from items donated by sponsors. All in all, irrespective of the weather, it was a great weekend with many laughs and of cause the banter was in full flight. Looking forward to next year and hopefully better weather will allow a lot more pilots and visitors to enjoy a great Club. Thank you to ADAC for your hospitality and looking after us over the weekend. See you next year..... Ed
