Scale Day at the Field, 06 March 2016

The Victorian Flying Scale Aircraft Ass (VFSAA) held the annual scale event at our field. The entry numbers were low this year with only 9 pilots. Three of the pilots were Garry Sunderland E5, Kevin Curwood, Twin Otter and Les Spaltman, J3 Cub. For Kevin and Les, this was their first time in a scale completion and gave it a good shot. All three accounted for themselves very well and helped in making the event what is was.
The weather started of great in the morning, but by early afternoon the wind came up which made it difficult to continue. So by 2:00 pm it was all over red rover. Unfortunately, Noel Whitehead miss judged the trees at the Northern end and damaged his RV4. Can be repaired and I believe Noel has a spare set of wings…. Makes it a little easier.
